Filling In The Cracks was an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit that featured my Cracks series of concrete busts that were first shown at the Grinnell College Museum of Art in 2020. This exhibition was curated by Maceo Keeling, MOCAD Curatorial Fellow, who wrote: "Through the use of concrete—emblematic of the hardness of Black life—Davis’ practice suggests that however resilient it may be, masculinity is not without kinks, vulnerability, and abrasion." Several prints from my Darker Gods body of work will also be on view.
